New Jersey Swifties, the weekend you have been waiting for is almost here.
Taylor Swift will be taking her “Eras Tour” to MetLife Stadium on May 26, 27 and 28.
During the concert, fans are taken on a journey through the singer’s musical career, love life, ups-and-downs, and hopes and dreams.
Swift’s shows are so highly coveted (and expensive) that over 20,000 fans who were unable to secure tickets stood outside Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia just to hear the music legend sing.
A three-plus hour set packed with music from Swift’s extensive discography requires more preparation than the average show. So, here is everything to know in order to have the best “Eras Tour” weekend possible, from bag policies to friendship bracelet trading.
Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium: May 26-28
- “Eras Tour” merch: If you want to make sure you can secure “Eras Tour” merchandise, getting to the stadium early is essential. Fans have repeatedly stated that lines are incredibly long at the merch trucks and clothing has sold out fast. Swifties who have attended previous shows have recommended fans arrive 2-to-3 hours early if they want the best chance to secure merch.
- Carry-in policy: If you want to get into MetLife Stadium with ease, a clear bag is a must. According to MetLife Stadium’s website, clear bags must be 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or less in size. If you don’t want to bring a clear bag, the largest non-clear bag you can bring is 4.5″ x 6.5″. Swifties are also allowed to bring in hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes, a portable charger, a 20 oz. factory sealed water, an empty reusable bottle and food of any kind that is contained in a clear plastic bag.
- Ear plugs: If you want to protect your hearing, purchasing a pair of ear plugs before you attend the “Eras Tour” is a good idea. You’ll thank us after the show.
- Parking and car essentials: Stadium parking is the worst, especially when it comes time to leave the show. Swifties have advised fans who have not attended the shows yet to take pictures of your parking spot, so you remember where the car is once it is dark out. Others have suggested to park near a stadium exit if possible. Long wait times inside the car when trying to exit should be anticipated, so pack water and snacks in the car while you wait in post-concert traffic.
- Friendship bracelets: If Taylor Swift says to make friendship bracelets, you make the friendship bracelets. At every stadium before the show, fans have been trading bracelets as a pre-concert festivity. From album titles and lyrics to jokes amongst the fandom, you’ll leave the show decked out in custom Taylor Swift jewelry.
- Where to buy last-minute tickets: Tickets for the “Eras Tour” are hard to come by, and fans have been scouring secondary market sites. Fans should look to snag last-minute tickets on sites like StubHub, Vivid Seats, MegaSeats and TicketNetwork.
